The iNEMI Optoelectronics Technology Integration Group (TIG) has scheduled a one-day session to coincide with OFC 2017 - Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition.
The session will feature an update of iNEMI’s Development of Cleanliness Specification for Expanded Beam Connectors Project, Phase 2, by the project Chair, Tatiana Berdinskikh (Celestica) and other participants. It will also include a "gap analysis" discussion as follow-up to the 2017 iNEMI Roadmap. This analysis, along with others from iNEMI TIGs, will be used to identify new collaborative projects for iNEMI to pursue.
The session will also feature two presentations from IPSR:
  • 11:00 a.m. — noon: Review of the 2016 International Photonic Systems Roadmap (IPSR), presented by Bob Pfahl (iNEMI) and Tom Marrapode (Molex).
  • 2:00-4:00 p.m.: Discussion of the new iNEMI-IPSR Board Level Optical Interconnects project, presented by Tom Marrapode (Molex).
